Join us for our Thursday Music Sessions — an intimate extension of the ongoing collaboration between The Jazz Standard Entertainment and The Venue by Chateau Claire.

Designed as a more relaxed and refined midweek experience, these special Thursday evenings invite guests to unwind with live music, wine, cocktails, and conversation inside a beautifully restored historic venue in the heart of Hondo.

Blending timeless atmosphere with world-class musicianship, this curated series offers a warm and intimate setting centered around great music, elevated hospitality, and the simple pleasure of slowing down and enjoying the night.

The event is BYOB, with drink setups available for purchase on-site to enhance your experience throughout the evening.

Charcuterie boards are also available as an add-on during online ticket checkout, and guests are welcome to purchase multiple boards for their table or group.

Wine selections from Mil Veranos Vineyard and Wines will be featured and available for purchase throughout the evening. Please note that outside wine, food or soft drinks are not permitted.

About the Artist:

Michael Alanis makes his debut at The Venue by Chateau Claire with an intimate DUO performance alongside his cousin, Anthony Thomas Martinez (ATM).

Widely regarded as one of the most sought-after guitarists and vocalists in Texas, Michael Alanis has built a reputation for his soulful interpretations of Blues, Neo-Soul, and timeless R&B classics. His sound blends deep musicality, tastefulness, and effortless groove — making him a standout presence on every stage he touches.

Michael has performed for luxury brands and high-end clientele including Ferrari, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and The Hyatt Hotels Corporation, while appearing on stages such as Jazz, TX, River Sun Jazz Club & Maggie’s in Fredericksburg.

Known as one of San Antonio’s hometown staples, Michael also leads one of the city’s most seasoned and established groups, while continuing to develop and release original music — including material debuted during a recent Los Angeles tour.

For this special performance, audiences will experience Michael in a stripped-down duo setting, highlighting the chemistry, artistry, and soulfulness between guitar, voice, and saxophone in an up-close and intimate atmosphere.
