About The Artist :
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Slim Man began his musical career as a songwriter at the legendary Motown Records before establishing himself as an acclaimed jazz and soul vocalist.
His debut album, End of the Rainbow, was released in 1995, featuring the single Faith in Us, which remained in the Top Ten throughout the year. Since then, Slim Man has released 16 albums and multiple singles, developing a signature sound that blends smooth jazz, soul, and sophisticated pop.
As JD Considine of Rolling Stone described his music:
“A near-perfect example of how jazz and soul can be combined as pop.”
A five-time consecutive winner of Best Jazz Vocalist at the Coachella Music Awards, Slim Man's creativity extends beyond the stage. He is the author of two cookbooks, Slim Man Cooks, Volumes 1 and 2, and an award-winning screenwriter.
His latest screenplay, I Got You Babe, earned numerous accolades, including recognition as a 2026 Best Comedy Screenplay finalist at the Nashville Film Festival. The story is scheduled for release as both a novel and soundtrack on December 1, 2026.
Experience an intimate evening of smooth jazz, soulful vocals, and timeless music with Slim Man, live at No Vacancy.
