About the Artist : Before Anthony Thomas Martinez ever stepped onto a stage, music was already part of his story. Inspired by his father at a very early age, Anthony’s connection to music began even before birth — serenaded in the womb through headphones as Jazz recordings covered his mother's stomach. As a child, music was not just something he heard; it was something he felt. One of his earliest memories is falling asleep on his father’s chest while listening to records late into the night. “One of my first memories I can recall is falling asleep on my dad while listening to "Straight to the Heart" by David Sanborn. He would often put me to sleep with that song — it was popular at the time, and the album had just came out.” Growing up surrounded by sound, Anthony was immersed in the music of saxophone legends such as Grover Washington Jr., Charlie Parker, and later John Coltrane, while absorbing the expressive philosophy and space-driven artistry of Miles Davis. These early experiences shaped not only his musical voice, but his belief that music is meant to connect deeply with people on an emotional level. Today, that same sense of intimacy and storytelling defines every Anthony Thomas Martinez performance. A Berklee College of Music alumnus and DownBeat Magazine Outstanding Soloist award recipient, Anthony has spent more than two decades performing professionally across international stages and luxury destinations. Yet despite global performances and high-profile audiences, his mission remains rooted in the same feeling he discovered as a child — creating moments where music is the soundtrack to a memory. Whether performing in an intimate Jazz club, concert venue, or exclusive private setting, Anthony creates an atmosphere where audiences don’t just listen — they feel connected. Every note entails a story, every performance carries intention, and every show reflects a lifetime shaped by music from the very beginning. For ATM, music has never just been a performance — it has always been connection that is played from and " Straight to The Heart "
